With a distinguished 30-year career in law enforcement, Lee has extensive experience in protecting vulnerable individuals and fostering collaborative partnerships. Having served in various roles within a southern-based constabulary, from Constable to Detective Inspector, his expertise spans a wide range of policing areas, with a focus on safeguarding, missing persons investigations, and victim support.
As Detective Inspector, he led the Missing Exploited Trafficked Team and initiated the Child Centred Policing Plan, creating essential frameworks for safeguarding vulnerable children. He also spearheaded missing persons investigations, utilizing online investigative methods, evidence management, and strategic partnerships to improve outcomes for those at risk.
In this role, he played a pivotal part in the development and delivery of training. His commitment to education is further reflected in his qualification in Post Compulsory Education (Certificate of Education, 2014).
Between January 2022 and March 2023, he worked in Albania, partnering with local and international experts in public protection and law enforcement. During this time, he facilitated workshops and training aimed at strengthening public protection systems, victim support, and "Rule of Law" frameworks. His efforts contributed to the successful creation of three operational Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH) and improved collaboration between police, health services, and social services.
Lee continues to design and deliver training on child and adult safeguarding, trauma-informed practices, and supporting autistic children, young adults, and adults.
